The name is a lab code. The teams behind the first papers worked in St. Louis, Missouri, including chemists at Saint Louis University. The papers do not spell out the letters, so we do not guess.

Glow Labs lists SLU-PP-332 for laboratory research only. It can be pre-ordered on WhatsApp.

Not a peptide

Peptides are built from amino acids linked one after another. SLU-PP-332 contains none. It is a compact ring-based organic molecule with just 36 atoms. Comparing it with a real peptide makes the gap clear.

What ERRs are

ERR stands for estrogen-related receptor. There are three types: alpha, beta and gamma. Despite the name, they are not oestrogen receptors and do not respond to oestrogen. They got the name because their gene sequence looks similar.

ERRs are called orphan nuclear receptors. "Nuclear" means they work inside the cell nucleus, switching genes on and off. "Orphan" means scientists have not found a natural molecule in the body that binds them. The 2026 SLU-PP-915 paper describes ERRs as controlling genes for mitochondria, fat breakdown and the Krebs pathway. That is why a compound that switches them on draws interest in energy research.

What was studied

Mouse exercise studies

The 2023 ACS Chem Biol paper described SLU-PP-332 as a pan-ERR agonist, meaning it activates all three types. In muscle cells it raised mitochondrial activity. In mice, the team counted muscle fibre types and measured running endurance. They also found it switched on a set of genes that exercise normally turns on. This is where the label "exercise mimetic" comes from. It is a description of a mouse finding.

A 2024 paper tested it in two mouse models of metabolic syndrome. The team measured energy use, fat breakdown by cells, fat mass and insulin response in those mice.

Heart failure models

A 2024 Circulation paper tested SLU-PP-332 and a second compound, SLU-PP-915, in mice with heart failure caused by pressure overload. The team measured heart pumping, scarring and survival, plus thousands of gene and metabolite changes.

Newer analogues

The field is moving fast. A 2026 paper reported that SLU-PP-332 does not get into the body well when given by mouth to mice, and described SLU-PP-915, a different molecule that does. Another 2026 paper mapped which parts of the SLU-PP-332 structure matter most and made new versions of it. Both are signs of early-stage drug chemistry, not of a finished product.

What is not known

On 25 October 2026 we searched PubMed for clinical trial records on SLU-PP-332 and found none. ClinicalTrials.gov also listed no registered studies. Without a human study, how it behaves in people is an open question.

Every finding above is from cells or mice. Mouse findings often fail to carry over to humans. Long-term safety has not been studied in any species that we could find.

Sport and the law

The World Anti-Doping Agency list in force during 2026 does not name SLU-PP-332. WADA's 2027 Prohibited List, in force from 1 January 2027, names SLU-PP-332 as an example of a banned metabolic modulator (class S4), along with SLU-PP-915. In 2026 anti-doping chemists published methods to detect SLU-PP-332, SLU-PP-915 and their breakdown products, and described both as compounds with doping potential.

No TGA page naming SLU-PP-332 was found for this guide, so we make no claim about its Australian status. It is offered strictly as a lab chemical.

Storing SLU-PP-332

SLU-PP-332 comes as a dry solid in a vial. Keep the container sealed, cool, dry and dark to limit slow chemical change. Our guide on how to store peptides covers general vial handling. 5-Amino-1MQ is the other small molecule in our catalogue.

FAQ

What is SLU-PP-332?

A small lab-made molecule that switches on the estrogen-related receptors. It is not a peptide.

Is SLU-PP-332 a peptide?

No. SLU-PP-332 has no amino acids at all, so chemists class it as a small molecule. The phrase "SLU-PP-332 peptide" is common in search but chemically wrong.

What is an ERR agonist?

An agonist switches a receptor on. An ERR agonist switches on estrogen-related receptors, which control genes linked to energy use in cells.

Has SLU-PP-332 been tested in people?

Not that we could find. Our October 2026 searches of PubMed and ClinicalTrials.gov returned no human trials.

Is SLU-PP-332 on the WADA list?

Yes, from 2027. The 2027 list, in force from 1 January 2027, names it under S4 metabolic modulators. Anti-doping scientists have also published ways to detect it.

Is SLU-PP-332 active when given by mouth?

A 2026 mouse paper said it lacks oral bioavailability, and described SLU-PP-915 as an orally active ERR agonist.

How is SLU-PP-332 stored?

In a sealed vial, kept cool, dry and away from light until it is used in the lab.
